Sign Former Can-West Rookie of the Year

University of Manitoba Bison men's basketball coach Kirby Schepp has announced another key recruit for 2015.

6'0 Point Guard Ilarion Bonhomme has committed to the Bisons for the 2015-16 season.  Ilarion was a standout point guard at Brandon University for 3 seasons. In 2011-12 season Ilarion was named the Canada West Rookie of the Year and was named to the CIS All-Rookie team. He was also awarded the "Student Athlete" Award while at BU. Ilarion completed his first degree at Brandon this spring and is excited to continue his studies and his basketball career at Manitoba.
Stated Ilarion:  "Coming to U of M is a great move for me academically and as an athlete. I look forward to furthering my education at such a prestigious school and playing for a coaching staff and with players who  care about winning".

2013-14: 21 Games, 10.3ppg, 3.9 Rpg, 4.5Apg, (5th in CW

Coach Schepp is happy to fill the hole left by graduated star point guard Stephan Walton. "Ilarion is a proven CIS student-athlete. While at Brandon, he was always difficult to game plan against. He has an outstanding ability to break down defenses and set up his teammates for easy looks.
