The Bison women's soccer program is pleased to announce their third annual Pursuit of Excellence Awards Dinner will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018. The special event will be staged at the Canad Inns – Destination Centre Fort Garry (1824 Pembina) with special guest speaker Michell Lissel, Former Anchor- Fox Soccer Channel and Master of Ceremonies Rob Gale, Head Coach of Canada Men's U-20 National Soccer Team.
Proceeds from the evening support student athletic scholarships for the Bison women's soccer program.
This event will celebrate and support the Bison women's soccer program of the past, present and future. The evening will start with cocktails and dinner followed by player award presentations, 2018-19 recruiting class signing, musical entertainment and guest speaker. You will have a chance to win door prizes and lots of give-aways—an event you will not want to miss!
Guest speaker Michelle Lissel is well known for sports related work in Winnipeg radio and television. She anchored North America's most watch soccer specific programs on Fox Soccer Channel. She also has covered football, hockey, golf, cricket and Motocross. Lissell's involvement in the soccer world is extensive and is highlighted by her covered of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. She is currently employed as the Community Engagement Specialist with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Our main goal is to increase our scholarship fund in order to enable us to keep supporting our current players and to continue to attract talented players at the local, national and international level. Our vision is to become one of the best University women's soccer programs in Canada. We are confident that this fundraising initiative will help us achieve our vision and we will work relentlessly to achieve it," stated Bison Women's Soccer Head Coach

Martinez Lagunas continued, "This event will help us gather all important stakeholders together to build and shape a strong women's soccer program. This dinner is organized as part of our annual
Spring ID camp, which will start on May 18th and will end on May 21st. Spring ID camp participants will be in attendance along with current, former and prospective Bison Soccer student-athletes, parents, other family members, friends and supporters of our program. It is the one evening our whole Bison family can come together to celebrate our past and bright future".
Individual tickets and corporate tables are available until May 18 (early bird prices end on May 14). Ticket purchases and/or donations can be made HERE.
Early bird single tickets are $150 with a partial tax receipt. Corporate Tables of 8 are $1200 with a partial tax receipt. After May 14, individual tickets will be $175 and corporate tables will be $1400.
New this year—a special reduced Alumni ticket price of $100.
