Women's soccer student-athlete Daniella Scerbo has been named the Smitty's Bison Sports Female Athlete of the Week the week ending September 29/13.

The Bison women's soccer team gained a valuable two points in their pursuit of a post-season spot during two home games over the September 27-29 weekend.

Second year forward Daniella Scerbo had the scoring touch as she notched two goals in an exciting 3-3 versus Mount Royal Cougars on Sunday, September 29. Her first tally came when she deke the goalie out on a run and the second was a long shot taken from past the box that dropped past the goalie. She was also named team MVP for her efforts in the match after starting and playing all 90 minutes. 

On Saturday, September 28, the Bisons tied the #3 Alberta Pandas with a 0-0 score and she had a couple of scoring chances while starting and playing all 90 minutes of action.

The Bisons (1-3-3) are in a battle for a playoff spot and now travel on the road to face the fourth place UBC Thunderbirds (3-0-3) on Friday, October 4 at 7 p.m. CT and then eighth place Trinity Western (2-1-3) on Saturday, October 5 at 7 p.m. CT.
