National Awards

Raya Surinx

Each year, U SPORTS recognizes the country's top collegiate athletes with a series of national awards. Athletes from the University of Manitoba have been recognized many times for their successes and skills on the national stage through these awards. 

National Athlete of the Year

This award is presented to the country's top athlete across all sports, as deemed by the Canadian Athletic Foundation.

Austin Matthews Award

This award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to interuniversity sport, as demonstrated by long-term commitment and leadership as a coach, director, chairperson and/or executive committee member at the local, provincial and/or national levels.
