The Brown and Gold Awards are given out at University of Manitoba Bisons' annual end-of-season banquet to recognize the university's top achievers in each of the following major award categories:

Pat Gill Legacy Award

Pat Gill was instrumental to the Bisons football program, maintaining the integral role of team manager from 1967 until his passing at the completion of the 2011 season. He was with the Bisons for an amazing 45 seasons and was part of the three Vanier Cup Championships teams at Manitoba (1969, 1970, 2007). This award was created in Pat's honour to recognize outstanding service to the Bisons.
