The Bison women's hockey team captured a road split at Alberta to begin the 2013-14 Canada West regular season. Fifth year forward Brenley Anderson was a force during the weekend series.

On Saturday, October 5, Manitoba won a tight 1-0 game when Anderson scored the game-winner on the power play in the second period for the lone tally in the contest. She had thee shots and was named third star in the victory. 

On Friday, October 4, Anderson created scoring chances as she fired four shots in a 5-1 loss to the Pandas.

The Bisons (1-1-0) continue on the road this week as they play at Saskatchewan (1-1-0) on Oct. 11-12 weekend with game time on both nights at 8 p.m. CT.
