At the Cdn Spring National Swim Championship in Victoria, two varsity and Jr. Bison swimmer excelled with best times for varsity swimmers Dillon Perron and Artur Kroitor plus Mackenzie Glover and Kelsey Wog, Jr Bison swimmers, qualify for international events.Perron best finish was an eighth in the final swim of the 100m breaststroke.
For the pair of Junior Bison swimmers, they will have a busy spring and summer. Mackenzie Glover and Kelsey Wog returned from Victoria where they also swam very well in the Canadian Spring National Championships. Glover (backstroke specialist) and Wog (breaststroke specialist) both recorded significant performance improvements with which they qualified for the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China and Jr. Pan Pacific Championships to be held in Hawaii, USA on August 16-22 and 27-31 respectively.Glover in the picture:

They travel as part of the Youth National team for which they qualified with their outstanding performances in December at the annual Prairie Winter International. "The Manitoba Bisons varsity and Junior Bison swim program received great results at National Championships this past week in Victoria. Dillon and Artur, two senior Bisons, performed to best times with Dillon's top finish in 8th place in 100 breaststroke, " commented Bison swim head coach Vlastimil (Vlastik) Cerny. "The two juniors, who qualified for international competition. provide a great boost to the Bison swim program. The Junior Bison program is showing fantastic results since starting up just a few years ago."
