Box Score BRANDON – The Brandon Bobcats women's team picked up their fourth straight win on Saturday, November 28 night, but the significance isn't in the score as much as what it means. In beating the Manitoba Bisons 75-67, the Bobcats move to 4-2 on the season, the best record entering the December break for the Bobcats since 1983.
The Bobcats started the game much like Friday, storming out of the gate offensively and putting pressure on the Bisons on the defensive end.
The Bisons trailed by as much as 16, but battled back in the fourth quarter to tie it at 66-66. But just like the night before, the Bobcats settled down, and made two huge baskets, a 3-pointer by Kaela Cranston and a transition lay-up by Alyssa Montgomery, extending BU's lead to 71-66, which proved to be enough of a cushion to give the Bobcats the victory.
Four Bobcats finished in double-digit scoring, led by Keisha Cox and Amy Williams who each put up 17 points. Williams had a double-double, pulling down 10 rebounds, while Cox finished one rebound short of a double-double with nine.
