The Bison men's basketball team is proud to announce two captains for the 2017-18 Canada West conference season. Guard Justus Alleyn (pronounced: Just-ice Al-lean) and forward Joey Nitychoruk (pronounced: Nitty-chor-uk) are the captains for the Bison men's basketball team for the upcoming season.
Alleyn is a captain for a second consecutive season while Nitychoruk is captain for the first time with the Bisons.
Bison men's basketball head coach
Kirby Schepp, in his ninth season at the helm, said, "We have a good mix of veterans and newcomers this season. Justus had been with the program for five seasons and been a great leader on and off the court and should have another big season. Joey is in his fifth season and bring leadership with his time with the Bisons and Lakehead as he has been to nationals three times so far in his career."
Alleyn, 22, enters his fifth and final year with the Bisons after an award-winning year in 2016-17.
