The Bison volleyball teams host a weekend series against MacEwan Griffins on Friday, November 17 and then Saturday, November 18 at Investors Group Athletic Centre (U of Manitoba campus). On Friday, the women's game will be at 6 p.m. CT and the men's game is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. CT while on Saturday, men's match starts at 5 p.m. CT and women's begin at 6:45 p.m. CT. The Bison men's volleyball team (1-5) was ranked number three for the first three weeks of the 2017-18 U SPORTS Top 10 rankings and look for their first home weekend sweep of the season. MacEwan has a 0-6 record heading into the weekend series. The two teams met in conference play last season when Manitoba won 3-0 (Feb. 10/16), won 3-0 (Feb. 11/16) at MacEwan and the Herd have won all six conference regular season matches since the Griffins joined Canada West in the 2014-15 season.
In conference 2017-18 stats, the Bison men's team is ninth in hitting percentage at .200, ninth in assists at 10.38 per set, eighth in conference kills at 11.05, third in blocks at 2.50 per set, 13th in service aces at 0.86 and 12th in conference digs at 7.81.
Individually in CW, in kills per set, Scott Vercaigne is third at 3.95 and Adam DeJonckheere is tenth at 3.24. Jack Mandryk is 12th in assists per set with 6.90 while Kyle Martens is tied for tenth in digs per set at 1.95 and Dustin Spiring is fifth in blocks per set at 1.14.Vercaigne is also fourth in points per set at 4.6.

Individually in CW, in kills per set, Kearley Abbott is eighth at 3.08. Brittany Habing is seventh in assists per set with 8.71 while Cassie Bujan is seventh in digs per set at 3.67 and Kearley Abbott is also tied for seventh in points per set at 3.6.
