The #2 Bison men's volleyball team advances to Canada West championship final against #1 and defending conference champion Trinity Western Spartans on Saturday, March 11 at U of Manitoba campus (Investors Group Athletic Centre) with first serve scheduled for 8 p.m. CT. 

The bronze medal match of #4 Alberta Golden Bears and #6 UBC Thunderbirds will start at 6 p.m. CT. Tickets will be available at the door for both medal matches.

Manitoba (regular season: 21-3; playoffs: 1-0) look to avenge two conference losses at Trinity Western (regular season: 21-3; playoffs: 3-0) that occurred at the end of 2016-17 conference regular season (Feb. 24-25/17).

Manitoba seeks a Canada West conference championship for the second time (won in 2002-03 season) since the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) merged with Canada West in 2001-02 (The Herd were numerous GPAC champions over the years).

The only previous time the Bison men's volleyball team hosted a conference Final Four was in the 2003-04 season when they finished second.

All four teams have advanced to the U SPORTS championship held at University of Alberta in Edmonton on March 17-19. The Bisons last time at a nationals was 2011-12.
