The Bison volleyball teams host a weekend series against UBC Okanagan, with only one week left in 2017-18 Canada West regular season, on Friday, February 16 and then Saturday, February 17 at Investors Group Athletic Centre (U of Manitoba campus). On Friday, the women's game will be at 6 p.m. CT and the men's game is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. CT while on Saturday, men's match starts at 5 p.m. CT and women's begin at 6:45 p.m. CT. The Bison women's volleyball team (11-11) seeks to make playoffs after a year absence last season and tied for seventh place in the Canada West conference standings with Top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs. UBC Okanagan is No. 1 in U SPORTS with 18-4 record and second in CW. The two teams met in conference play last season when Manitoba lost 3-1 (Nov. 11/16) and lost 3-0 (Nov. 12/16) on the road.
In Canada West 2017-18 stats, the Bisons are ninth in hitting percentage at .162, sixth in conference kills per set at 11.47, sixth in assists at 10.74 per set, fifth in blocks at 2.29 per set, 12th in service aces at 1.40 and first in conference digs at 17.09.
