Bisons teams celebrate Pride on a super Saturday, Jan. 18

Bring your pride and cheer on your University of Manitoba Bisons teams on Saturday, January 18 as they celebrate UMSU Pride Day!
Five teams are competing in what'll be a super Saturday. Women's basketball starts things off at IGAC, as they take on the defending Canada West champion University of Saskatchewan Huskies at 12 PM. At halftime, there will be a special presentation for former UM coach and athletic director Coleen Dufresne, who was inducted into the Canada West Hall of Fame last semester.

The 11-1 Bisons men's team follows up the women at 2 PM as they take on the Huskies with serious playoff implications on the line. The men's squad has yet to lose a game in regulation this season, as their record puts them near the top of the conference standings.
Over at Wayne Fleming Arena, Bisons women's hockey revive a rivalry of their own, as they take on a UBC Thunderbirds that they bounced from the playoffs last season. Puck drop is set for 2 PM.

Then, back at IGAC, men's volleyball celebrates alumni from the 2000s while continuing their path to the 2020 U SPORTS Men's Volleyball Championship, hosted by the UM from March 13-15. They take on UBC at 6 PM, with women's volleyball following at 7:45 PM.
