Bisons fourth-year swimmer Kelsey Wog continues to redefine success in the pool and begins the next chapter of her international career this weekend at the 2020 Olympic Games.
Wog will compete in the women's 100 metre breaststroke, 200 metre breaststroke, and 4x100 metre medley relay for Team Canada — beginning with the first of those three events this Sunday, July 25.

Wog was named the 2020 U Sports Female Athlete of the Year, recognizing her excellence as an athlete and a student. Wog's coach Vlastik Cerny will join her in Tokyo over the next two weeks as well.
The Bisons representation isn't limited to just current athletes, though.
Bisons swimming alumnus Tyler Mislawchuk will compete at his second Olympic games in the men's triathlon. Mislawchuk, who swam for the Herd in 2012-13, finished 15th in the triathlon at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Also making a repeat appearance at the Olympic Games is Desiree Scott [BA/16], who is seeking her third medal as a midfielder with the Canadian women's soccer team. Scott and Canada previously won bronze in 2012 and 2016. As a UM graduate, Scott was the first Bison to be inducted into the Canada West Hall of Fame in 2019.

Finally, Bisons men's volleyball alum TJ Sanders will take on his second Olympic games and continue a storied international career. A member of the Herd for one season in 2010-11, Sanders and the Canadian team lost to Italy in a five-set thriller on Friday night. Their next action comes on Monday, July 26 against Japan.
