REGINA, SK — Despite a season-high 31 points and six rebounds from their veteran guard, the Manitoba Bisons (6-5) couldn't rally against the Regina Cougars (8-3), losing 90-81.
Fifth-year
Keiran Zziwa led everyone in scoring, as he hit 12 field goals — including going 4-for-5 from three. His team, though, struggled to handle the Cougars on the glass, as the home team out-rebounded Manitoba 39-28 in the game.
This meant that even while shooting 50% from the field for the game, the Bisons weren't able to come away victorious.
Majok Madol led Regina with 22 points, going 7-for-11 from the field.
James Wagner had 17 points, five rebounds and two assists for the Bisons.
Mason Kraus had 14, ten of which came in the first quarter.
The Cougars and Bisons meet again tomorrow night at 8 p.m.
