The games are also available to watch pay-per-view on
CanadaWest.TV presented by Co-op or fans can listen for free on
UMFM 101.5, featuring Bisons alum Kyleigh Palmer and The Hockey Show host Trevor "Teebz" Alexander on the call.
The Bisons and Huskies have a long history of playoff battles, including a 5 OT marathon in 2016 and a Canada West Final back in 2018 — a series won by the Herd on their way to the program's first national championship.
This season, Manitoba has owned the matchup in the regular season — going a perfect 4-0 across two games in Saskatoon and two games in Wayne Fleming Arena.
Players to watch include Manitoba's stellar trio of young forwards:
Halle Edwards,
Ashley Keller and
Julia Bird. All three are in the top 30 of Canada West scoring, with Edwards leading the way — scoring seven goals and nine assists in 18 games this season.
Between the pipes, the combination of
Erin Fargey and Kimmy Davidson has been a winning one. Both goalies are above a .935 save percentage and Davidson leads the conference in her rookie year at .960.
The winner of this series between the four-seeded Bisons and five-seeded Huskies advances to the Canada West semifinals at UBC, taking place from Mar. 4-6.
