Wichita Thunder sign Bisons standout Devon Skoleski

The 5'9" forward recorded 76 points in 94 games played for the Bisons

A second 2022-23 Bisons hockey alum has signed a pro deal, as 5'9" forward Devon Skoleski agreed to terms with the ECHL's Wichita Thunder (ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks) this past week. Skoleski's signing comes shortly after teammate Brett Davis signed with the defending ECHL champion Florida Everblades.

Skoleski, 25, played four years with Manitoba, and is coming off his best season statistically, tallying 27 points in 27 games. Overall, he recorded 76 points in 94 games for the Herd as the team's top line centre.

Propr to his time with the Bisons, the St. Adolphe native spent three WHL seasons between the Everett Silvertips and Prince Albert Raiders, recording 70 points in 169 games.

"I just want to say a quick thank you to the University of Manitoba, my coaches and my teammates for four amazing years with the Bisons," said Skoleski. "Every time I got to throw on the Bisons jersey was an honour and a privilege. The Bisons gave me a chance to play the game I love and meet some life-long friends. With that being said, I'm excited to start a new chapter of pro hockey with the Wichita Thunder."
