WINNIPEG – A short-handed goal late in the first period helped shift momentum, and the No. 2 nationally ranked UBC Thunderbirds kept up the pressure from there, winning 10-2 against the No. 10 ranked Manitoba Bisons on Saturday afternoon at 'The Flem.

The T-Birds now have 13 wins on the year and lead the West Division with 27 points, while the Bisons have 17 points in Canada West's East Division, remaining in a playoff spot.
Â
Leading 1-0 with four minutes to go, the T-Birds took a boarding penalty, and Manitoba looked to capitalize after some sustained pressure just prior.
