WINNIPEG – Manitoba led by as much as 17, and never trailed, knocking off cross-town rival Winnipeg on their home court, 64-55.
It was the Bisons' third straight win over the Wesmen, improving the Herd's record to 3-5 entering the winter break. Winnipeg remains one win ahead in the Canada West Prairie Division standings, at 4-4.
Currently battling for the seventh and final playoff spot, the opponents will face each other two more times prior to the conclusion of the regular season.

Anna Miko all scored in double figures for the Bisons, with 13, 11 and 11 points, respectively. Mandamin added a career-high 11 rebounds, while Miko posted her third straight double-double, with a career-high 14 rebounds.
A 15-5 run at the tail end of the second quarter served as a catalyst for Manitoba's win. Martin led the way, shooting five-for-eight with 11 points in the first 20 minutes, while Mandamin and
Ayva Khan had clutch threes during the ten-point second quarter swing.
The two teams combined for 17 triples on 54 total attempts, along with 21 total steals, including a career-high four from Mandamin. In a defensive slug-fest, Manitoba cashed in with 26 points in the paint, nearly doubling up Winnipeg's 14, while their 16 assists were right on their season average, third in Canada West.
