Men's Hockey Press Release

Men's hockey hosting annual golf fundraiser

The event is on Thursday, June 19th at Larters Golf & Country Club in St. Andrews, MB, as a way to celebrate the program’s rich history, to bring alumni and friends together, and to provide scholarship funding for current and future players.

The University of Manitoba Bisons Men's Hockey program has been a key piece of Manitoba's hockey fabric for close to a century. It has been a place where student-athletes have been able to compete at an elite level while pursuing a university degree, and has also been a stepping stone for many to advance to professional leagues in North America and overseas. The team is excited to be hosting their annual golf fundraising event on Thursday, June 19th at Larters Golf & Country Club in St. Andrews, MB.

The event serves as a way to celebrate the program's rich history, bring alumni and
friends together, and to provide scholarship funding for current and future players.

"The Bisons Men's Hockey Golf Tournament is a crucial fundraising event," said head coach Gordon Burnett.

"It's an opportunity to bring many generations of Bisons players together to strengthen the program and build lifelong friendships. The fundraising event also benefits current and future members of the team. Money raised can help with the purchase of new equipment and resources which help to provide a competitive edge.'
