Long-time friends
Skyler Bruce and
Dawson Pasternak have helped lead the charge offensively for Manitoba. The pair of speedy forwards are tied for the team lead with 22 points. Bruce -- who led Manitoba with 31 points as a rookie -- has eight points in his last five games, while the fellow sophomore Pasternak -- whose 22 points is a career-high --Â has ten points in his last five.Â
Meanwhile, first-year forward
Lucas Brennan -- who scored 84 points with the MJHL's Selkirk Steelers in 2022-23 -- is fourth in goals amongst Canada West rookies, with nine. That total is also tied for the team lead, and he's found the back of the net in each of his last five contests.Â
Also netting nine goals is captain
Jonny Hooker, who surpassed 100 games played as a Bison in last weekend's sweep of MacEwan. He has six points in his last five games, including two tallies against GMU last Saturday.Â
Alberta's leading scorer on the campaign is Dawson Davidson, whose 25 points rank second amongst all Canada West defenceman.Â
