Men's Hockey Press Release

Seniors night highlights conclusion of home schedule for men's hockey

Jonny Hooker, Jackson Arpin, Evan Toth, Michael King and Codey Behun will be recognized on Saturday in their final home game as Bisons.

Graduating seniors Jonny Hooker, Jackson Arpin, Evan Toth, Michael King and Codey Behun will be recognized on Saturday in their final home game as Bisons, as the Herd close out their 2025-26 home schedule. Game times are 7 pm on Friday and 5 pm on Saturday. Click here for tickets.

Manitoba's senior core of five have all played key roles in helping the Bisons reach 24 points this season, the most for the program in eight years.

Hooker, the team captain for the last three seasons, is tied for the team lead with ten goals on the year, and he's racked up over 20 points each of the last three seasons, playing in 104 career games entering Friday. A difference-maker in all areas of the game, his 24 career power play goals rank third in school history.

Arpin has been an assistant captain for the past two seasons, shutting down some of the league's top players, playing a leading role on both ends of the ice. A fundamentally sound forward who does the little things well, he's played in 93 career games for the Herd, recording 21 points. Another two-way staple, Toth has balanced the demands of medical school with hockey, leading by example with his dedication, communication and maturity. The defenceman enters this weekend having played in 102 career games for Manitoba.

One of just two Bisons to play in over 110 career games, King's reliable play and consistency have been key to the Herd's success. The veteran forward had zero penalty minutes last season in 22 games played, where he also amassed a career-high 11 points. Clutch when it counts, he scored the game-tying goal with less than three minutes to go against MacEwan on January 23. Manitoba later won the game in overtime.

No Bison has played in more career games than Behun. He'll graduate having suited up in 118 contests for Manitoba. A fan favourite with his charismatic presence and positive attitude, Behun has played a clean brand of hockey. He hasn't recorded a penalty minute this year, while recording 21 career points.
