Another impact player from the Junior A level has joined the Herd. The men's hockey team announced today the commitment of Alberta and British Columbia Junior Hockey League veteran Teague McAllister, who recorded a combined 95 points playing in the two leagues.Â
McAllister made his debut in the AJHL at the tail end of the 2022-23 season with Lloydminster, recording three points in four playoff games for the Bobcats. He continued with Lloydminster for the next two campaigns, tallying 41 points in 75 games, while also being recognized with a Community Service Award in 2023-24.Â
Over the last season and a half, McAllister has made his mark in the BCHL with Alberni Valley, recording 49 points in 65 games.
An alternate captain last year, the Kitscoty, AB native recorded a career-high 36 points in the regular season, including 19 goals. He was named Alberni Valley's Team MVP, while also taking home the Unsung Hero Award.Â
McAllister also has national team experience, suiting up for Team Canada at the World Junior A Challenge in 2024, where he was named Team Captain.Â
"We are excited to add Teague to our team," said Bisons head coach Gordon Burnett. "He skates extremely well, competes hard every shift and brings a very high level of hockey IQ that will make a big impact for our group both offensively and defensively."
