    Assistant Coach - Men's Hockey

Devin Himpe has been an assistant coach with the University of Manitoba Bisons Men’s Hockey Team since the 2014-15 season.  Graduating from the U of M with a Bachelor of Recreation Management & Community Development, he completed his fieldwork with the team before joining on as a coach.

The Dauphin native played U18 AAA for the Parkland Rangers & with the Dauphin Kings of the MJHL before deciding to further his education.  While in university, Devin played for the Fort Garry/Fort Rouge Twins in the MMJHL from 2007-10.

From 2015-19, Himpe worked at Hockey Manitoba focusing his time on their Grassroots Development programs while also serving as the video coach for the U16 Provincial male teams from 2015-17.  During this time frame, he obtained his High Performance 1 coaching certification.  

Devin also served as a member of the Team Canada coaching staff at the 2019 Winter Universiade (FISU-International University Sports Federation Games) in Krasnoyarsk, Russia where they brought home a bronze medal.

He is now a full-time On-Ice Skills Instructor with Jets Hockey Development at BellMTS Iceplex while working towards his Hockey Canada Skills Instructor Certification.
