JP is returning for his sixth season working as an assistant coach with the women's team, after taking a year off. He will serve as the main video coordinator and will work with the post players' skill development. He will also be serving as an liaison for the Junior Bison programming and the U of M High School tournament.

From 2006 to 2013 JP has been involved in the local club system with Junior Bisons (2005-2008), JRB (2008-2010), and Big Country Basketball (2010-2013). He was the head coach for the Central Region female basketball team in the 2013 Manitoba Summer Games and is currently the head coach of the Juvenile female basketball team for the North American Indigenous Games in 2014.

JP is a graduate of the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, with continuing aspirations to become a teacher.Â
