Sarah is joining the Bison Staff for her first year as an assistant coach after having plenty of success in the early years of her coaching career. She will work with a variety of players on skill development and on court leadership. She will also assist with video breakdown and opponent analysis.Â

Sarah coached within the Manitoba provincial team program from 2008-2012, finishing as head coach to the 2012 15U Girls national silver medalists'. She has also coached in the Basketball Canada/Basketball Manitoba Centre for Performance while earning her NCCP level 3 coaching certification. At the grassroots level Sarah was the head coach of the Oak Park Junior Varsity Girls Program where she led them to the 2008 AAAA Provincial Championship game and was named Coach of the Year. She also coached Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre Club Team, a position she volunteered at for 4 years. Currently Sarah is entering her 5th season as the Girl's Varsity coach at Westwood Collegiate, whom she lead to an undefeated regular season and AAAA final four appearance in 2012.

Prior to coaching, Sarah played five years of basketball for the University of Manitoba Bisons. She was selected to the Canada West Conference All-Star team twice in her career and the All-Rookie team in her first season. She was a captain for three of the five years with the Bisons. Sarah is a graduate of U of M, with both a Bachelor of Physical Education and a degree from the Faculty of Education.  Â
