2016 Women's Soccer Roster
Biography
A versatile player makes great use in any roster. Even though Abigail Eggers is just entering her first year of eligibility, her wide range of coverage on the pitch will make her a prominent figure in the Manitoba Bison’s lineup sooner rather than later.
“I don’t necessarily have a preferred role on the field; any position that will give the best advantage to our team would be my preference if one needs to be stated.” Said Eggers, who can play the outer flanks in both midfield and fullback. “I am comfortable striking the ball with either of my feet, though I prefer my right.”
For any first-year player, having the right mentality is just as important as having the right skill – something that Eggers is already in total control of.
“I take constructive criticism well and am coachable. I am always trying to improve my game.” Said Eggers. “I am super excited for the opportunity for the Bison soccer team this year and in the future. I bring a positive attitude.”
Hopefully with the Bison’s two preseason friendlies in North Dakota, Eggers will feel a little more at home as a member of The Herd before opening her university account in Manitoba. She is only American player on the roster, hailing from Afton, Minnesota – a city 30 minutes east of St. Paul.
