Even though she was recently recruited, Hailey Sharpe could make an impact right away in the Bison’s first team. Though she’s just entering her freshman season, she carries along with her 16 years of soccer experience.
She has expressed her admiration of the personnel on the team following her recruitment in early August.
“I became a member of the Bison squad this year thanks to Vanessa,” said Sharpe. “We had been in contact the previous year about my interest to join the team for its amazing technical staff and players, and I’m so fortunate now to be part of such a talented group of players.”
She opens her university account with soccer experience from Kelvin High School, Winnipeg South End United the Manitoba Blizzard.
Last year, she was named the school’s Athlete of the Year, while winning the provincial urban championship the season previous and earned All-Star honors in 2014.
Sharpe occupies a fullback role on the pitch, and adds to a position which the Bisons are very deep in depth.
“I believe I can bring a high level of endurance to run up and down the wings for this position, as well as persistence to fight for the ball.” Said Sharpe.
