Biography
In the 2016 Bisons season, Haydn Burdeny caught her first glimpse of soccer action in U SPORTS. Originally, the defender was listed as a practice player. However, she broke into the first team for four matches as a freshman and began to appreciate that the Bisons were a family.
“It hit me that this was more than just a soccer team. I spent more time with these girls than my family and I wouldn't have it any other way," she said.
“I spend my days beside them in class and my afternoons with them on the field. The bond we all share is why this is the right program for me.”
Looking back on her soccer career with the Bisons so far, confidence has never been lacking for the center back. Burdeny has developed into a pillar in the backline for the Bisons in a such short period.
“My biggest accomplishment so far as a Bison has been being able to watch myself progress from only playing a handful of games in my rookie year to playing and starting in every single game in my sophomore year.”
