2017 Women's Soccer Roster
Biography
Soccer teams are often diverse and the Manitoba Bison Women’s Soccer Team is no exception. One of the most diverse stories is center midfielder Katica Rados. She joined the Bisons from Victoria, BC, however has appeared on the international soccer spotlight with the Croatian Women’s National Team.
Rados has represented Croatia at the under-17 and under-19 levels. She made her national team debut on September 9, 2015 in a European Championship qualifier, completing 10 minutes in a 4-0 loss to Belgium. Two days later, she notched her debut goal in a 3-2 win against Wales.
Now with her commitment into U-Sports in full gear, Rados has found a balance between school, the Bisons team and her national team. “Last year I had to miss some school as well as some very important league games for a commitment with the Croatian team.” Said Rados. “My professors, coaches, and teammates were very understanding and I had to learn to manage my time well.”
As the 2017 season begins, she hopes to play a greater role in the Bisons’ quest for success. “Last season our team created some big upsets in the league.” Said Rados. “I feel like I have improved a lot since then and I'm looking forward to helping the team however I can this season.”
