2016 Women's Soccer Roster
Biography
As Lia Tramley joins the Bison’s Women’s Soccer Team she becomes the second her family to link up with a Bison’s varsity prigram. Her sister Erin current competes in the track and field, as well as cross country team.
Tramley opens up her university career having gained two years of experience with the Manitoba Provincial Team and capturing the urban provincial championship with Kelvin in 2014. She represented the colors of two clubs during her youth career – Bonivital and the Manitoba Blizzard.
The native of Winnipeg joined the Bisons having attended the team’s ID camps and connecting with the team.
“I instantly really liked the coaching staff and the girls on the team,” Said Tramley. “I also wanted to stay close to home for my undergraduate degree.”
The freshman can cover any area in midfield, yet prefers the middle of the park for her primary role.
“Something unique I bring to my position is my ability to get and distribute the ball to my teammates and to create combination plays that will lead to scoring opportunities.” Said Tramley.
Though she enters the Bisons having yet to make her CIS debut, Tramley carries quite an impressive soccer résumé with her; she’s been involved with the sport since the age of 3.
