2016 Women's Soccer Roster
Biography
New recruit Sarah Lyle joins the Manitoba Bisons following successful trails at the ID camps and assembling an impressive résumé at FC Northwest. After reaching out to coach Vanessa Martinez Lagunas regarding her interest in becoming a Bison, Lyle committed to the University of Manitoba in late March.
While in the process of transitioning from a soccer prospect to university-level player, Lyle is looking forward to opening her university career.
“I am very honored to be a part of the Bison Women’s Soccer Team and I’m very excited to see what the 2016-17 season has to offer.” Said Lyle.
The native of Stonewall, MB has won various honors with her youth club in both indoor and outdoor competition, and has represented Team Manitoba at the club national level as well.
Lyle plays a role in an attacking position that is considered one of the most technical on the pitch: the winger. Primary occupying the right-hand side, Lyle will be expected to dribble, cross, finish and find favorable attack positions on the flank for years to come. Already, she is bringing a good work ethic.
“I bring versatility to my position and a fighter’s mentality,” Said Lyle. “I work hard to perform my best in order to better myself and my team.”
