The 2009-10 CIS women's volleyball All-Canadian teams and season honours were announced on Thursday, March 4, 2010. The University of Manitoba Bisons women's volleyball program had one player earn All-Canadian status.

Bison Ashley Voth was named as 2009-10 CIS First Team All-Canadian. This is the second time in her four year career (she was CIS First Team All-Canadian in 2007-08 season) at Manitoba to earn this CIS recognition.

Voth, 21, is playing in her fourth year with the Bisons and also received 2009-10 Canada West First Team All-Star recognition for her second time (2007-08). The Winnipeg native was selected 2006-07 CIS and Canada West Rookie of the Year. This season, Voth continued her play from the Senior National Women's team in the summer as she was fifth in the conference in hitting percentage at .294, ninth in conference kills at 3.03 per game (68 games/206 kills) and ranked ninth in conference points with 3.71 per game. In team stats, Voth led the team with 206 kills, second with 188 digs, tied for second with 57 overall blocks and third with 16 service aces during the conference regular season.

“Her CIS First Team All-Canadian award reflects that she has been on of the top players in the country the whole season,” stated Bison women's volleyball head coach Ken Bentley. “Ashley has had a fantastic season and pleased she has received this honour.”

Bison Notes: The Bison women's volleyball team is the third seed for the 2010 CIS Women's Volleyball National Championship being held from March 5-7 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

The Bisons (15-5 regular season; 3-1 playoffs) will play #6 seed University of Toronto (14-5 regular season; 3-0 playoffs) in their first match on Friday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. CT.
