The Bison swim teams concluded action at the Odlum Brown College Cup in Vancouver on Sunday, with third-year
Kelsey Wog leading the Herd in trips to the podium.
After earning two golds in meet record times on Saturday in the 50m and 200m breaststroke, Wog added three more gold medals on Sunday in the 100m breaststroke, the 200m individual medley, and the 200m freestyle.
Her times in the medley and freestyle were both meet records, beating marks she set herself in 2017. Wog blazed a 1:58.10 in the 200m freestyle (beating 1:58.38) and a 2:10.61 in the IM (beating 2:10.97).
Wog also earned a bronze as a part of the Bison women's freestyle relay team, as
Dora Modrcin,
Alexandria Miko,
Gio Wickett, and Wog finished third with 1:47.10.
Modrcin also got on the podium in the 50m backstroke, finishing second in 27.83, to bring her weekend medal total to three (two silvers, one bronze). Modrcin also finished eighth in the 100m butterfly (1:02.82).
Other A-Final results included the Bison men finishing eighth in the men's 200m freestyle relay, as
Alex Shogolev,
Michael Lajoie,
Reid Glatz, and
Andreas Cappelletto finished in 1:38.16.
Glatz finished ninth in the 100m butterfly (57.27), while Shogolev finished eighth in the 50m freestyle (23.96).
Rounding out the women's A-Final results,
Gio Wickett finished ninth in the 200m backstroke (2:23.39) and
Alexandria Miko finished fifth in the 50m freestyle (26.90).
Competing against other Western Canadian schools, the Bisons' combined scores had them in seventh (548 points). The women finished seventh, while the men finished ninth.
