ABBOTSFORD -- The nationally ranked UFV Cascades kept their undefeated record alive with an 84-54 win over the Manitoba Bisons (0-3) on Friday night at home. Maddy Gobeil led all scorers with 27 points, while
Emily Johnson and
Emerson Martin combined for 22 for the Herd.
The Cascades shot at least 50 percent from the field in every quarter, and didn't trail the whole way. They led by five after one, and increased their lead to 20 entering halftime. Both teams rebounded well, and distributed the ball effectively. Seven different Bisons had at least one assist, but the Cascades one-upped them, as nine different players had an assist, with six of those players recording at least three.
The two teams will be back at it tomorrow night.
