WOMEN'S HOCKEY VERSUS SASKATCHEWAN

- The Bisons (6-8-0-0) have won three games in a row, and are currently in the sixth and final playoff spot, just six points behind Saskatchewan (8-4-2-0) for fourth place. Both teams are trending in the right direction, with Manitoba winners of three in a row, and Saskatchewan successful in four of their last five.
- Manitoba is 5-2 in their last seven games against the Huskies, however Saskatchewan won the last two contests, 4-2 and 3-0 in the first round of the playoffs at Wayne Fleming Arena a year ago.
- Forward Kate Gregoire has recorded a point in three straight games, and leads Manitoba with nine points on the season. Her high school teammate Sarah Dennehy has added four points in her last three games and has seven points overall.
- With four power play goals in their two-game sweep of MacEwan last weekend, Manitoba is now second in the conference with 12. On the other end, the Huskies have the conference's best penalty killing percentage, at 91.5 percent, and have allowed just four power play goals overall.
- Forward Brenna Nicol scored the game-tying goal in Manitoba's 3-2 win over MacEwan last Friday, becoming the 18th different player to record a goal this year for a well-rounded roster.

- Manitoba is 4-4, in a three-way tie in the standings with five other teams. Four teams are 5-3, and Trinity Western and UBC sit in first at 8-0. The Herd are coming off a sweep of Brandon where they didn't give up a set.
- Overall in their four wins -- all at home, Manitoba has swept each set. This weekend they take on an 0-8 Regina team who've won just three sets all season.
- The Bisons are undefeated in their last three games against the Cougars, and have lost just twice since 2015.
- Manitoba is all over the conference leader-board in terms of individual stats. Rookie Raya Surinx is eighth with 98.5 points and is also fourth with 3.63 kills per set, while Brenna Bedosky is third with 1.28 blocks per set. Eve Catojo is seventh with 1.11 blocks per set, and Katreena Bentley is ninth with 8.94 assists per set, despite missing two games. As a team, the Bisons are fourth in the conference, with 3.84 blocks per set.
