ABBOTSFORD -- The Manitoba Bisons improved by two spots on the second day of the CanWest Golf Championships, finishing seventh overall in Abbotsford.
Rookie
Jose Mekish had the low score, finishing with a 72 for the best round of any Bison overall. He had four birdies overall, including three in the final five holes. Not far behind were
Lachlan Allerton and
Cole Peters, who scored 75 and 76 on day two.
Trent Robertson had an 82, while Jordan McDonald scored 84. Overall, three Bisons improved their results from day one, while the team had seven birdies overall on the Tuesday.
Mekish was consistent on the front nine, scoring 38 both days. He had a low of 34 on the back day on day two, thanks largely to birdies on holes 14, 15 and 16. On a difficult 18th hole, which was a par five, he went even, as did Allerton, who hit for par on 13 of the 18 holes on day two. Click
