The Bisons golf team started their season in memorable fashion, finishing second overall at the Augsburg Invitational in Minneapolis, MN. As a team, Manitoba shot +27 with a two-round total of 603.Â
Ryan Blair and
Ethan Portey led the way for the Herd, tying for second at +1 with two round scores of 145. Portey's day two score of 69 tied for the lowest all tournament, while Blair shot a 72 on day one and 73 on day two. Manitoba's second-place result is their best finish at the event since 2017, when they tied for second.Â
Other scores from the Bisons included a +8 from 2024 Team MVP
Rory Neill, who finished 11th overall, and +9 from
Tyler Polanski (14th), +12 from
Jack Rudick (tied for 22nd), +13 from Brayden Boge (tied for 24th), +14 from
Eric Prokopowich (tied for 30th) and +17 from
Derek Benson (tied for 44th).Â
