Bisons women's volleyball secured another incredible talent this week, announcing the commitment Anouk Taylor to their 2027 class. Taylor joins a sensational recruiting class that also includes
Talia Hull and Sydney Boughton, along with 2026 recruits
Hannah Hoberg,
Ana Jankovic and Addison Benedict.Â
Taylor is a 6'1" outside hitter from Winnipeg who's made a name for herself at the high school, club and national levels. Notably, in 2024 she was Junior Bisons Athlete of the Year Volleyball Manitoba 15U Girls Player of the Year, a Volleyball Manitoba Provincial All-Star, Best of the West MVP, and a MHSAA Junior Varsity Provincial All-Star.Â
In 2025, she was Volleyball Manitoba Provincial MVP, and she represented Team Canada at the U17 level in 2024 and 2025.
"We are so excited to have secured Anouk's commitment to join the Herd for the 2027 season. She adds to a dynamic recruiting class that ensures we will remain a top tier program in Canada in the coming years," said head coach Ken Bentley.Â
"Anouk is a leader and role model for our Junior Bisons program, following in the footsteps of those that have just graduated, as well as those currently on the varsity program. We believe in leaders creating leaders, and Anouk will play a large role in this philosophy in the coming years, as will our other recently announced commits."
Taylor, an honour roll student at Sr. Mary's, was also a U16 All-Canadian in 2025 and captain, and she's also been captain of Junior Bisons gold since 2023, and the Flames since 2022.Â
"I've wanted to play for the Bisons for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the Junior Bisons program since I was ten, I've learned what it means to work hard and be part of something bigger than myself. The coaches, teammates, and community have shaped who I am on and off the court," said Taylor.Â
"It's a dream come true to represent the culture and work ethic that make the Bisons so special. I'm proud to continue my journey here at home in Manitoba."
