In an epic five set match at the 2013 Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke, Quebec on Thursday, August 8, Team Manitoba prevailed 3-2 (20-25, 26-24, 17-25, 25-21, 17-15) over Ontario to capture a bronze medal.

On Team Manitoba there are five current Manitoba Bisons players who played a large role in the victorious bronze medal match. Libero Caleigh Dobie played all five sets; middle Emily Erickson played four sets with three kills and three total blocks plus one assist; left side Rebecca Kohler played one set; outside hitter Crystal Mulder played all five sets and tied for team-high with 17 kills, two assists and one block and outside hitter danika Picklyk added three kills in two sets played for Manitoba.
