KELOWNA -- The Bisons golf team sent four members to the Battle of the Bear in Kelowna, BC this past weekend for the second of four tournaments in their competitive schedule prior to the conference championship.
Manitoba finished seventh overall (five strokes shy of Alberta for sixth), led by
Cole Peters' 78-76-154 total over two days, good for a tie for 24th. Click

Trent Robertson,
Derek Benson and
Brent Ingram rounded of the Bisons' quartet. McDonald and Benson tied for 31st (160 total), while Ingram and Robertson tied for 38th (162 total).Â
Peters shot a low of 76 on the second day, the best total of any Bison during the event. He hit for par on 15 different holes on the Tuesday, including six that were over 440 yards in distance.
Four different holes on the course were over 500 yards, and Peters hit for par on three of them on both Monday and Tuesday. Benson also hit a birdie on the par-five seventh hole on both days. With a distance of 541 yards, it was the second-longest hole of the day.
McDonald also finished one under par on the seventh on day two, while Robertson had four birdies and Ingram had two.Â
