Men's Basketball Press Release

Men's basketball add "sharp-shooting wing" Tshawn Bois

The Lasalle, Quebec native most recently played at the NCAA Division 2 level with the University of Mary Marauders, where he averaged seven points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

The men's basketball team added more scoring depth and versatility to their roster today, announcing the commitment of 6'4", 190-pound wing Tshawn Bois.

The Lasalle, Quebec native brings maturity and experience to Manitoba's roster, having made an impact at the local level for the Dawson Blues, as well as throughout the United States at multiple schools.

Renowed as a lethal shooter and lock-down defender for Dawson in Montreal, Bois was a household name. In his senior year with the Blues, he shot close to 40 percent from three-point range, averaging double figures in each contest. In the semi-finals against Champlain College, he also went off for 28 points.

Afterwards, Bois went south, taking his talents to multiple American schools.

Up first was Lamar Community College in Colorado. With the Lopes, Bois wreaked havoc, starting 24 contests, averaging 13.2 points per game and seven rebounds per game, along with a 41.7 percent shooting efficiency from the field.

Most recently, Bois showed out at the NCAA Division 2 level with the University of Mary Marauders, where he averaged seven points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He scored a season-high 19 points against Bismark State on December 31, while also adding a personal best ten rebounds.

Tshawn is a sharp-shooting wing that can play both sides of the ball at a high level. He will add depth and experience to young group that can help us right away.
