  • UBC is tied for second in the conference and riding a four-game win streak. Manitoba is in a three-way tie for fifth, with both of their wins coming in straight sets.
  • The Bisons haven't beaten UBC at IGAC since the 2016-17 season, however three of the last four matches between the two teams have included a set that's gone to extra points.
  • Bisons setter Jack Mandryk needs just 72 assists to crack into the top 20 in conference history.
  • Second-year outside hitter Eric Ogaranko has had a career year, after making the switch from right side to left side. He led the team in points in both of their victories (19.5 points against TRU, ten points against UBCO), and his .313 hitting percentage is tops amongst Bisons attackers.
  • Manitoba leads the conference with 2.60 blocks per set, paced by the conference's top middle in that regard, second-year Jonah Dueck (32 total blocks, 1.68 per set).

  • Fellow top-line forward Colton Veloso has had all kinds of success in his career against the Dinos. He has a point in six of the last eight games between the two teams, including three goals in the Herd's two most recent victories.
  • The trio of Skoleski, Veloso and Brett Davis have combined for 33 points so far this year.
  • Bisons goalie Ross Hawryluk's 301 saves are second in the conference, just two behind Ashton Abel of MacEwan for the conference lead. Just behind Hawryluk, with 227 saves is Dinos first-year netminder Carl Tetachuk.

  • Manitoba started the season off strong at the St. James Seals Invitational at Pan Am in late October, with personal bests from many swimmers, including second-year Cameryn Carlos (100-metre and 200-metre backstroke) and first-years Ella Howe (50-metre butterfly) and Brayden Stacey (50-metre freestyle, second place)
  • Last weekend's Odlum Brown Colleges Cup also showcased Manitoba's skill. On day one, third-year Megan Mozill placed second in the 100-metre backstroke 1:01.08), while fifth-year veteran Dora Modrcin finished second in the 50-metre fly (27.45).
  • On day two, the women's 200-metre freestyle 'A' relay team of Modrcin, second-years Kelsey Fillion and Hannah Schanel and third-year Georgia Pengilly finished third (1:44.40), while Modrcin and Mozill earned individual recognition. Modrcin won the 50-metre backstroke -- her specialized discipline -- in a time of 28.03, while Mozill finished second in the 200-metre backstroke (2:11.51).
